The regional tour of the wonderful circus meets cartoons show Girls with Altitude by the Flying Fruit Flies finished with a spectacular high energy show in Warragul on 28 April. I was there for the last show (I think it was about my eighth time seeing it), along with the animator Bernadette Trench-Thiedeman, the music composer Ania Reynolds and artistic director Anni Davey. Now it’s having a short hiatus and then a final polish for its Melbourne season at the Arts Centre in September.
The Arts Centre dates for the performances for general public haven’t been announced yet, but they will be sometime in mid-September. I’ll be seeing it for my ninth and maybe tenth time, even more if I can manage it!
The Schools Program is September 14 and 15 – free performances to eligible schools, under the MegaMix program. Be quick, they’re booking up fast. Details here
