Topic of the Month – February 2017

Posted on: January 30, 2017

This month’s topic is ‘Longing’, which seems a good way to start a new year. Or maybe it is the absolute worst way to start a new year.  Quests, quotes, wishing, plenty of ‘if only things were different’.  A topic full of wist – but at least it’s a Trump-free zone.

Next month’s TOTM will be ‘Monsters’

Every month this website will feature ten to twenty Horacek cartoons on a chosen topic. I chose them alphabetically. All cartoons are ©Judy Horacek. I’d rather you didn’t use these cartoons without my permission, but if you must, I’d appreciate it if you acknowledge my authorship and the source.  They are cartoons, not memes. Cartoons this month were first published in The Age, The Canberra Times, The Australian Magazine and for various commissions.  Some were done simply for my own pleasure, and were first published in one of my cartoon collections.

You really do have a totally unique take on things, bless you. Thanks Judy, made my day (month!) as usual!
I’m assuming that life is great for you both. Mine has shifted because I have retired myself from all that physical yakka I was doing raising and planting native veg, and looking after various sites. Have handed it all on to a young man and walked away into the rising sun! Am saving my back for surfing and my hands for art.
    Lots of love

    Judy

You light up my life with humour and colour – and you have for years and years.

I loved scrolling down your wondrous offerings – then glanced to the right on the scroll bar to see that there were still so many more coming!

    Joy!
