This is a Mokulito print, which is a relatively new technique of lithography developed in Japan. The drawing is done on wood rather than traditional lithography’s stone. It has qualities both of lithography and woodcut – you can see the grain of the wood plate in the background. In 2022 I did a Mokulito workshop with artist Barbie Kjar who is a master of the technique, as she is a master of so many things.
