I’m into the final week of the campaign for the new book (it ends 2 November, 10pm AEST) and for the last few days I’ve been working on the picture for the cover. Covers tend to make me nervous, they are an extremely important part of the book
, and the awareness of that importance can be paralysing. But I’m quite pleased with this image, riffing as it does on Woman with Altitude, my best known cartoon. I like the idea of the cartoonist being a conductor too. My designer, Fiona Edge, can now work her magic with text and cropping and other secret skills. Hope you like it.
(By the way, a high quality giclee print of this is one of the Rewards in my Pozible crowdfunding campaign, A3 in size, which is hte size of the original, strictly limited to 25. )
