The fight goes on (and on)

Like so many people, I am dismayed at the result of the recent Australian Election, particularly for what it means for the climate, and for what it means for the refugees and asylum seekers imprisoned by us on Manus and Nauru. Here’s a cartoon I did for the Age when Scott Morrison first became Prime Minister, in that strange coup that toppled Turnbull. Okay the cartoon didn’t come true then. But now that Morrison is Prime Minister in his own right, I’m sure we can now look forward to him acting humanely and ending this suffering. It’s simply a matter of him living up to those Christian values of his which we’ve heard so much about, and acting in accordance with international law. Any minute now…

      Interesting question. Hmm, I wonder. They are still quite young, so they probably just think what their parents think. For now…
