The Indigenous Literacy Project 2009 was launched by Therese Rein on 26 May in Sydney. One part of it is the Board Book Project, which will deliver 240 copies of board books to children in the remote aboriginal communities of Wugularr, Wilcannia and Warburton. I’m very proud and pleased to say that Mem Fox and my ‘Where is the Green Sheep?’ and my very own ‘These are my Hands’ have both been chosen to be part of this wonderful project featuring 12 different books.
