Hilary sent this photo of her two lovely daughters in a bookshop along with this story: ‘Both my girls chose the same book at the shop today. Holly, the five year old, saw Yellow is my favourite Colour and excitedly said, “It’s the Green Sheep lady’s drawing! I love her!”. Then Claudia, the two year old, copied, and grabbed a copy of Yellow as well.’
By the way, I’m pretty impressed at Holly’s powers of visual recognition, recognising my style from one book to another, at age five. That’s beyond some adults capabilities. And of course I am impressed at both girls’ taste in books.
