Public Speaking
Judy Horacek is a gifted and funny public speaker. She has lots of experience at afterdinner speaking, before dinner speaking, talks at conferences, writers festivals and special occasions like International Women’s Day. She believes that humour is a fantastic tool for raising issues, and the laughter at her talks belies her often very serious subject matter. Her talks are always imbued with her personal politics, a strong belief in the equality of women, a great sense of social justice and the belief that the world can be a better place.
Judy usually structures her presentation around slides of her work. She can talk about her own work, or she can develop a presentation around a particular theme, using select cartoons.
